Pulpit Committee

Currently, as required by the Constitution,
the Church Board has been activated
to serve as the Pulpit Committee in choosing
and recommending to church
members “one proper pastoral candidate.”
by a 100% affirmative vote of the Committee.
The Pulpit Committee was activated on  October 1, 2010.

The current status of the Pulpit Committee (as of 15 September 2011):

The committee continues to meet twice monthly.  We are reviewing application materials (resumes, doctrinal statements, sermon audio) from 24 candidates and have requested additional material from several of them.  Our next task will be to send each candidate a detailed Questionnaire and then condense the list down to our top six.

If you have question concerning the Pastoral search or about this process, please contact any of our Deacons.  We value your input.

Process Note (from Little Stone Church Constitution): A Special Church Meeting shall be convened and the candidate must receive a three-fourths (3/4) affirmative vote of a quorum of the church members.  A quorum shall be two-thirds (2/3) of all active members eighteen years of age and older.  The Pastoral call shall be for an indefinite period of service.
