Organization


The purpose of the church is to love, worship and glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever.  The church shall seek to accomplish this purpose by the salvation of souls through evangelism, the discipling of Christians in accordance with Matthew 28:18-20, and the redemptive healing of Believers as stated in Galatians 6:1-10

Little Stone Church is organized and controlled by three(3) Boards.

  • The Church Board
  • The Deacon Board
  • The Christian Education Board

The Church Board

The Church Board which meets every month is  composed of the Pastor,  three Deacons, three Members-at-Large, Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Director, and a representative from Women’s Missionary Fellowship for a total of at least ten members.

The Church Board acts upon the recommendations of the Pastor, church officers and congregation concerning programs and plans that affect the church. At it’s January meeting elects Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.

 The Deacon Board

The Deacon Board  consist of the Pastor and at least three active adult members of the church who are mature leaders capable of overseeing the spiritual well-being of the church.

The Deacons shall execute all legal transactions relating to the property of the church as authorized by the Church Board. They shall hold title to the church property and hold the same subject to the uses and benefits of the congregation.

The Deacons shall act as mediator between the congregation and the Pastor to promote good will and define the wishes of both parties in their endeavor to accomplish the mission of the church.

During their January meeting, elect a Chairman and a member to server on the Christian Education Board

The Christian Education Board

The Christian Education Board is composed of the Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Director, one Deacon, one Sunday School Teacher, and one church Member for a total of six members. The Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, and Youth Director shall be members of the Christian Education Board by virtue of their office

The Board’s duties are to determine the policies and plans for the Christian Education program of the church.

Direct and coordinate all Christian Education activities.  This shall include, but shall not be limited to, the Sunday School, Primary and  Junior Church, Youth Fellowships, and camps and conference programs. Secure voluntary personnel as needed; help those workers to receive training, equipment and materials; and arrange for Leadership Training classes during the year as needed.   Workers preferably shall be church members in good standing.  Those who are not church members must be approved by a quorum of the Church Board.
